Yes, Christmas is coming. And soon. Which means that soon it will be Jesus' birthday. Christmas is the time to think about the love of God and sharing gifts. Just like God gave us the best gift we could ever get. A free ride to heaven if we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he paid for our sins. Christmas is also a good time to meet with family and catch up on how our lives have been doing since we last saw them.
Our classroom is doing the caring can. Which is like a can that we put money in to give to some children who's parents can't give them a happy child's Christmas. New stuff. That's our way of giving just a small fraction of the gift God gave us. We're giving our family love in the gifts that we're giving them. I hope that we raise a lot of money for our family so we can give them a happy Christmas.
I hope we all have a very happy Christmas and see relatives that we haven't seen in awhile and remember the reason why Christmas is about giving gifts. To give back fractions of the gift God gave us. It's the best we can do. But doing a little is better than doing nothing. Sometimes, giving a little goes a long way.
